My little friend here is a character I drew up especially for the first page of my portfolio.
I really wanted something that made an impact and I knew I wanted something like that. I was going to draw a goat for another illustration anyway.
Also I don't think I had drawn a goat before......well, not in a long while so that settled it.

Zombie Walk

Oh yes.
Yet another post.
I have a lot of catching up to do!!!

My sister and I went on the Zombie Walk which occurred in the last couple of weeks.
The effort that people went to was incredible. Especially the nazi in the last photo. He went all out. A lot of the people were just walking around not making much effort in being zombie-like but I wasn't sure if he was actually just joining in on the fun or not....

Rebecca, or Bec is what people call her, has stared to learn how to do prosthetics at her specialist make up school. It's bloody brilliant. We spent a lot of the night pouring fake blood on ourselves from a small tomato sauce bottle. And by the end of the night we had shed our skin (ha ha) and my friends were throwing bits of fake scab around the pub.

Colouring In

Here are a couple of images that I completed recently and coloured in photoshop.
The first one is one I came up with when I couldn't think of anything else to draw. It was a bit of an experiment really. Plus the drawing describes how I was feeling at the time.
I really quite like colouring in photoshop it has been a completely different experience from that of using inks. You get a different texture, and there still is a search for the right colour but here I'm basically just pressing buttons. I also loved playing around with the eraser and brush tools. They would have a completely different feel to them if I had just used ink.

The second one was the one I created as a cover for my comic. This one is about my friend Kate. That is basically all you need to know. When you read it you will be getting to know Kate a little more with each page you read.
The idea came about a year or so ago when I decided to do an animation about her because her life seemed be come straight out of some strange sitcom. But then I started getting into comic books and it all came together nicely after I thought about it, said I'd start doing it several times and produced various images and comics that I wasn't completely fond of. "Kate and Coffee" is the finished product. The End.
