Christmas swing.

Well it is nearly Christmas. I've done my shopping.

I only had to get one present.

Since the last time I blogged away I have started to do swing dancing. There was a Christmas ball the other night which was more fun than I thought it would be. Meaning I danced more than I thought I would, taking my camera along with the intention of hiding behind it for most of the night.

But no, there were a few guys who actually wanted to dance with me even though I have only had three of four lessons.

And of course this is what we looked like......

One of the guys had only had one lesson. So that made me feel a lot better but not much more confident.

I was suppose to go out last night but I didn't want to die.

There was a huge storm and I was surprised that the house was not reduced to rubble just from the noise of the thunder. At the moment I'm surprised the windows aren't breaking from Bec's sneezing. Her sneezes are so high pitched your ears start to bleed inwardly.

There are about three weeks without swing dancing. I'll have to eat chocolate cake to fill in the time.

I have slowly become numb to the taste of apple. All we have been eating is apples. Four trees = six months of apple pies, apple cakes, stewed apples, baked apples, dried apples, just apples, apple sauce, apple juice, apple cider, apple fritters, tart apples, apples in salads, apple crumble, apple bread, apple lasagne. We have carved apples and used them as crockery and furniture. Bec was using apples in a photo shoot for a school project the other day. We share our meals the the birds and beetles.

Four legs is not enough for my dog.

And this is Bec's reaction when mum told her the story of how she almost swallowed a skink.

I am in the process of writing a comic about her.
